I find that my company I worked for quite ironic. Every single time when you're with your boss, it's always been like attending motivation seminar. Conversation as friends seemed to be non-existent among us. I always think of my colleagues as friends. We talk about non-work related stuff, make fun of each other, curse our boss & annoy to the best of our abilities. Unfortunate for boss, I thought otherwise. Virtually zero sense of humour, trying laugh at sleep inducing "jokes", talk about work progress, lecture on commitment & anything to do with work. When I come to think of it, our job seemed to have similar purpose & prostitute is the closest thing to our job. If you find my statement revolting & offensive, not to worry. You will realize it someday. Nobody's perfect.
Working in my company, all employees have to go through the "Five Stages of Grief" after working for a year or so. These stages refers a loss or some sort of tragedy which directly apply to our everyday life. The stages are; Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression & Acceptance.
Denial; "I swear to god i didn't know! How did it happen?!"
Anger; "What did I do?! Why are you being an ass to me?! What the F***?!
Bargaining; "I've been working all night, gimme a break!"
Depression; "I'm screwed either way....just do whatever he wants..."
Acceptance; "Well, at least I got paid....what choices do I have?..."
Currently I'm in the transition from Bargaining to Depression.
When we work, our superiors expect us to be fully committed & serve our purpose to bring our company to the eye of the world. It seemed reasonable at first, because everybody want the best for themselves in order to survive. Somehow commitment seem to have it's own consequence. I began to question my boss's actions where it doesn't quite add up compared to the statement made by them. From there onwards, thing became political that employees like us are not allowed to question their irony & contradiction they do & say. Our department facing workload issue due to increased sales brought by the sales department. My boss took notice about this issue and came up with an ingenious solution! We are required to work longer working hours & hire additional sales personnels to handle the increases sales, thus leaving us at the most f***ed up situation.
